Campaigns to Ban Jet Skis

Organize a Local Law to Ban or Regulate Jet Skis

Eight towns and villages in the Adirondack Park have passed local laws to ban or regulate PWCs on over 30 lakes, ponds, and rivers. Many of these communities have used the model town regulation law and model town prohibition law developed by the RCPA. The Checklist for steps necessary to adopt such a local law is also a useful road map for local activists and local government officials. Ban Jet Skis on Lake George

Landowners and residents across the Lake George Basin are encouraged to complete and mail in a Statement of Support to Ban Jet Skis on Lake George. The goal of the RCPA, Lake George Water Keeper, and Coalition for a Clean, Quiet and Safe Lake George is to get 2,000 Statements completed by the summer of 2004. Please download a copy of this form and distribute them to your neighbors across the Lake George Basin.
